We are going to take you on a circuit of Rajasthan in this tour, ending with two night stay in one of the world's oldest living cities: Varanasi. This tour is more of a journey into India herself, and we guarantee you won't be dissapointed.
Starting in India's capital, we head west through Mandawa and Bikaner, then into the Thar Desert to Jaisalmer. We continue south to Jodhpur, Udaipur then up to Pushkar, home to the famous Brahma Temple. It's not over yet! We then head east to Jaipur and over to Agra to see the Taj Mahal before taking a train to Varanasi. Your tour ends with a final [relaxing] night in Delhi before departure.
Day 1 > Arrive in Delhi as per your international flight details. Today's activities will depend on your arrival time.
Day 2 > Enter the Shekhawati Region of Rajasthan and enjoy Mandawa, full of old merchant houses called Havelis and intricate fresco paintings.
Day 3 > Our journey continues to Bikaner, home to the Karni Mata (Deshnok) Rat Temple, some beautiful Jain temples and museums. Don't forget to try Bikaner's local speciality of Namkeen.
Day 4 > We push deeper into the Thar desert to reach Jaisalmer, home to an incredible Fort and many beautiful havelis. Spend the afternoon and evening exploring the Golden City.
Day 5 > Today in Jaisalmer you will enjoy a camel safari followed by a unique stay in the desert, listening to local Rajasthani music and tasting delicious foods. Sleep in luxury tents in the sand dunes.
Day 6 > Onwards to the blue city, Jodhpur where you will head up to the Mehrangarh Fort, see the see the memorial of Jaswant Thada and marvel at the Umaid Bhawan Museum.
Day 7 > En route to Udaipur, we will pass through Ranakpur where you will see the most intricate Jain temples in Rajasthan. Continue to Udaipur and explore the Venice of the East.
Day 8 > A full day in Udaipur will begin with a visit to the City Palace. Take a boat ride on the Lake Pichola, lose yourself in the winding streets and see the Jagdish Temple.
Day 9 > Pushkar is our next destination, a spiritual little town near to Ajmer on the Pushkar Lake. Try your hand at negotiating in one of the many bazaars.
Day 10 > After breakfast we head down to Jaipur, the Pink City. On arrival checkin to your hotel and spend some time strolling through the bazaars, seeing the Birla Mandir or heading into the historic centre.
Day 11 > Today begins in Jaipur with an elephant ride up the winding battlements to the Amber Fort. Your day's sightseeing can include the Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall, City Palace and much more.
Day 12 > An early start to see the famous Stepwells called Abhaneri. Afterwards, continue onto Agra not without exploring the ancient Mughal ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive in Agra and see the Fort depending on the time.
Day 13 > Today in Agra you will have the chance to see one of the most famous monuments of love in the world, the Taj Mahal. We recommend a sunrise visit. Later on take a night train over to Varanasi.
Day 14 > Your driver in Varanasi will pick you up and take you to the hotel to relax. Later on, lose yourself in this chaotic, sacred and wonderful city. Enjoy a sunset boat ride on the River Ganges and experience the Aarti Ceremony.
Day 15 > Start early to take a sunrise boat ride on the River Ganges. Later on explore the old temples of Varanasi and famous Ghats. Take an optional excursion to one of the nearby villages.
Day 16 > Our driver will drop you at the airport to take a flight over to Delhi. Evening at your leisure.
Day 17 > Enjoy a full day's sightseeing in India's capital, Delhi. See the Akshardham Temple, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Parliament House, India Gate and a whole lot more. Later on taste a farewell dinner in a stunning Indian restaurant.
Day 18 > Today is your departure. Our team will take you to the airport with time to catch your international flight home. Services will end here.
